Whoops…there goes another week and no new posts on this blog. This time round though, I’m not going to start by moaning about how stressed out I am by this project, oh no – instead I’ve got some exciting news to share…

We have been busy working on our new professional brand which we’re launching officially today (yes I know it’s a Sunday…no rest for the wicked/stupid/those who commit to something they wished they hadn’t!).

So without further ado here it is…the new brand: Kinetiva (pronounced kinetiva, as in kinetic but with a ‘va’ on the end). Check out the new portal and what the name means here >>>

Why the new brand?

You might be wondering why we’ve launched a new brand, especially given that we often get very good feedback about our Project Woodward brand.

The main reason is that for some of the target markets we work with (more corporate types and professional services), the Project Woodward brand is a bit too personal for our liking and was never really mean to be the name for our company in the first place – it was temporary in the absence of anything else we liked.

Kinetiva is sufficiently generic and corporate-y to cover all bases. We did some very general and brief ‘user testing’ and asked a few people what concepts and ideas the name conveyed when they saw it. We got exactly the kinds of responses we were aiming for…so from this point forward, Kinetiva becomes the brand under which all of our commercial ventures will sit.

What about the old brand?

The ‘old’ brand, Project Woodward, is staying but becomes more our personal brand. It will cover personal projects like our own personal/travel blogs and anything else we do that doesn’t have a commercial aim to it.

So what’s changed?

In reality? Not an awful lot, especially for our clients and customers. You may notice some minor tweaks to all our sites to incorporate the new brand and tie them to our networks and we also have new email addresses for the commercial side, but we still use the existing PW ones so will receive mail wherever it’s sent to.

But now for the important part…what do you think about the new brand?

P.S. Ooops, forgot about the call for help bit…will blog about that later this week.
