The Point About “The Secret” That Most People Miss

There’s been so much stuff written about The Secret over the past few months that I’m not going to labour the point.

There’s one thing about it though that almost everyone misses (or at least those who try it once or twice then dismiss it because it doesn’t work).

Many people have talked about “action” being the missing ingredient for The Secret to work – and that’s absolutely true.

The other thing that people don’t realise is this…

  • If you ask the universe/God/whatever you believe in for money, is it going to just hand you money on a plate or is it going to give you the opportunity to make it?
  • If you ask for happiness, is it going to give you happiness or the opportunity to make yourself happy?
  • If you ask for confidence, is it going to give you confidence or the opportunity to demonstrate your confidence?
  • If you ask for courage, is it going to give you courage or the opportunity to show your courage?

Most people are so busy asking for something and looking for it to be handed to them on a plate (and then moaning that it’s not), they miss the fact that the opportunity to take what they’ve asked for is staring them in the face.

P.S. If you’re wondering where this idea came from, it’s from a really poor excuse for a movie…no prizes for guessing which one but you can pat yourself on the back, if you do!!

P.P.S Happy Valentine’s Day!
