Yes, I admit it…I have gone Twitter crazy and been twittering away with my new Twitter buds for the past few days.
I’m not quite sure what made me start – I’ve had a Twitter account for a while now but so far been guilty of “Twitterbating” (translation: inane, self-obsessed ramblings without interacting with other
Twitterers…use your imagination if you’re not sure where it came
from!!!).
Results so far?
- Been kept highly amused by my new twitter buds
- Been privy to some excellent breaking news & info from some of the more high profile Twitterers
- Been interacting with a whole range of interesting & amusing people who I’d never have found out about otherwise

Is it any good for business & marketing?
Yes perhaps – although too many people who see it as simply yet another social media tool to market what they do are totally & utterly missing the point & the ‘richness’ of Twitter (and are usually the guiltiest of all when it comes to Twitterbating).
The point of Twitter is that it isn’t just another social media tool to help you build your business. It’s about creating & building your personal brand, interacting with others and maybe, just maybe doing a tiny bit of business in the meantime.
Is it addictive & unproductive?
What do you think???!? Of course it is! However, I have small bursts of Twittering every now & then and am not constantly twittering all day, therefore affecting my extremely high productivity levels :-)
